Penny Royal Lift Shaft – Fabricated and Installed by the TopCut team

This beautifully considered upgrade to the Penny Royal Leisure Inn was designed by architects David Denman + Associates in conjunction with Engineers at 6ty°. In a stunning mix between old and new this bought the historic building into the twenty first century and up to compliance.

The Top Cut Group team had the pleasure of working on the Steelwork and Metalwork for this project helping out principle contractor Tas City Build with a tight time frame, This included new Stainless Steel handrails, a new set of stairs, two balcony spaces and the jewel in the crown the Glass Lift Shaft.

The total structure measured around 11.5 meters tall and almost 2.5 meters square! The boys did a great job working around others and allow the rest of the workforce to continue their jobs.

With the help of Cranes Combined we were able to manage the install with little trouble and our skilled team of fabricators ensured that the structure stood true.
